Overall, the conference aims at showcasing the progress that countries in North Africa, namely Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco, have achieved in enhancing gender equality in the field of work and employment, and address prevailing challenges that could be prioritized to promote gender equality at work.
The aforementioned objective of the conference will be achieved through presenting studies and reports produced under the ILO in the four countries.
The conference aims more specifically at:
1. Highlighting the progress that the countries in North Africa have achieved in promoting gender equality at work;
2. Addressing the challenges that still prevail, to explore the means of addressing these challenges;
3. Designing recommendations on one or more for issues that still prevail which need to be addressed to promote gender equality;
4. Promoting social dialogue on the issue of gender equality.
