International Maternity Experience

7 - 9 September, 2020

Live, Online and On Demand
COVID-19 has presented a huge challenge to maternity and midwifery services worldwide, laying bare shocking inequalities across healthcare and challenging the resilience and sustainability of maternity services. It has accelerated the use of online technology but restricted access to other facilities. Resulting in giant online uptake but limiting access to contact time, requiring midwives to improvise, regulators to fast track changes to practice, midwifery schools to return students and lecturers to the wards and birth centres and mothers to change their birth choices. What have we learned, what will persist and what has to be recovered from and made sustainable?
