About
The Northeastern Storm Conference (NESC) is an annual conference hosted by the Northern Vermont University – Lyndon Student Chapter of the American Meteorological Society and National Weather Association. For the past 46 years, students, faculty, staff, and professionals have been coming together to share their research and professional experiences to the next generation of scientists. Led with three keynote speakers, NESC strives to show students the different sectors of the fields through engaging presentations on the experiences of stellar professionals from around the country.
Since the COVID – 19 pandemic, the organizers of the conference have used their virtual opportunities from 2021 to pivot the conference formatting to a research and professional development hybrid event. Workshops include resume critique, demo reel critique, women in science, graduate school readiness, and many others.
We are excited to be back in person for the 47th annual meeting. Building relationships face-to-face is part of what makes this conference so special.
Thank you for your continued support through these tumultuous times!
